Hard fought draw against Lions Gibraltar
The boys were back on the pitch on Sunday against Lions Gibraltar in a feisty game that saw neither team make a breakthrough. Europa Point had the bulk of possession through the first 20 minutes creating a few decent chances including a good shot from Mark Chichon that was saved by Lions keeper. The Lions number 1 also stopped a long-range effort from EPFCs top scorer Hugo Jesslen in the early stages. Europa Point continued to put pressure on Lions throughout the remainder of the 90 minutes but were unable to find a goal. A frustrating game for the boys in blue but they are looking on to next week's derby against Europa FC.
