Antony Moulds Scores 93rd Minute Winner in 7 Goal Thriller!

Europa Point produced a thrilling late show to defeat College 1975 4–3 in an unforgettable Gibraltar Football League encounter, sealed by a 93rd-minute winner from Antony Moulds.

EPFC made a strong start and took the lead on 30 minutes when Ronald Lomboya finished confidently to put Europa Point 1–0 ahead. College responded just before the break, with Javier Rojas finding the net in the 45th minute to level the score at 1–1 heading into half-time.

Europa Point came out with intent in the second half and regained the advantage on 59 minutes through Dante Holmqvist, who struck to make it 2–1. The momentum stayed with Europa Point, and Nuno Amador extended the lead on 75 minutes, giving the visitors a seemingly comfortable 3–1 advantage.

However, College refused to go down quietly. Just a minute later, Luis Dominguez pulled one back in the 76th minute, reigniting the contest. The drama intensified late on as Dominguez struck again in the 89th minute, completing his brace and bringing College level at 3–3,.

With the match heading for a draw, Europa Point dug deep in stoppage time. In the 93rd minute, Antony Moulds rose to the occasion, scoring a dramatic winner to complete a sensational 4–3 victory and spark wild celebrations among the Europa Point players and supporters.

Daniel is no stranger to Europa Point, having previously represented the club with distinction. Known for his speed, quick reflexes, and excellent shot-stopping ability, he brings both quality and familiarity back to the squad.

A modern, agile goalkeeper, Tudela’s ability to react quickly in one-on-one situations and deal with high-pressure moments makes him a valuable addition as the club looks to strengthen its defensive unit. His experience in the league and leadership qualities will allow him to settle in immediately and compete at a high level.

First Pre-Season game completed against Chesterfield

Europa Point FC completed their first game of Pre-Season against League 2 opposition on Tuesday.

A hot afternoon game against Chesterfield FC ended with a honourable loss. The boys played very well with a high press and effective switches and attacks that surprised our opponent. Europa Point had a 2-1 lead after 15 minutes with the game sat at 3-3 at halftime.

In the second half both teams looked to their bench players and Chesterfield showed effective finishing to win the game.

Thanks to guest Coach Gwendell and his VRS Academy players who all did really well in the scorching heat.

Next game is on the 26/7 in Marbella.

A word from our sporting director on the upcoming season

Dear friends of Europa Point FC, the club enters into its 10th anniversary season with great enthusiasm and a stronger organisation than ever before.

We are thankful for the hard work the staff, players and coaches have done over the last two years under our ownership, to build and grow our club from 80 to 150 members including players, coaches, and staff. We are also proud to announce that our economy is in good shape with a strong ownership group.

We can also appreciate the outcome of our strategy playing young and talented local players. Six players from our squad have been called up to serve the Gibraltar U21 national team during these past two seasons.

Our Youth Teams with their educated coaches have showed great spirit and are all at the top of their leagues showing the best results ever made including good performances in international tournaments.

We have recruited over 20 engaged sponsors and business partners for our journey and more will come into our family soon.

We have also been adapting deeper understanding of Gibraltarian culture and football during these past two years.

With all that said, we are starting to feel ready to move up a gear in our journey towards a top 3 spot in the Gibraltar Premier League.

This new season has already begun with recruitment of both old and new players. We will have our first training games in July so we are prepared for our first league game in mid August.

Europa Point FC 1-4 Lions Gibraltar

Full time. Europa Point 1-4 Lions.

Europa Point were back in action in the league on Sunday with a match agains Lions Gibraltar. Lions took the lead 3 minutes in through Mikael Ndjoli but their lead was canceled out just three minutes later by a strike from EPFCs Joel Sundstrom.

Lions won a penalty on the stroke of half time and Matthew Plumb received a red card after he and a Lions player got into an argument after the penalty was given. Leon Volz converted the penalty for Lions giving them a one goal lead at the break.

10-man Europa Point tried to overcome the defecit in the second half but things got worse when midfielder Justino Boldewijn received a second yellow card for bringing a Lions attacker down outside the box.

With 9-men it became an almost impossible task for the boys in blue but they held out until the 82nd minute when Lions added a third goal. Ndoji then made it 4 in the 91st minute.

A tough one to take for the lads but they will be looking to turn things around next Satruday against College.

St Josephs 4-0 Europa Point FC

Defeat in the league

EPFC faced European competition in St Josephs on Sunday. St Josephs took the lead 11 minutes in from a shot outside the box that found the bottom left hand corner. The rest of the half was tightly contested with Europa Point defending well and keeping St Josephs chances to a miminum. But in the second half St Josephs took over scoring three goals in the 54th, 66th and 71st minute taking the game away from Europa Point. A dissapointing result and start to the league but the boys will pick themselves up and look to next weeks game against Lions. There are still a lot of points to play for!

Defeat in the derby

EPFC were defeated in the derby last sunday. It was a positive start with the boys taking the lead through a corner whipped in by Tyler Garratt and headed home by centre back Sam Nicholson. EPFC started well and the gameplan was working until Europa equalised in the 31st minute with a sweeping counter attack. Two minutes later they took the lead undoing all of Europa Points hard work in the first half. It was a close game with both teams having chances before Europa scored their third from a long range effort in the 72nd minute. They then scored two goals in quick succession in the 83rd and 86th minute to take the game away from Europa Point. A tough loss to take after performing well for large periods of the game but the team look to next week where they face European side St Josephs.

Lynx FC 2-2 Europa Point FC

2 goals in 2 minutes to rescue a point

Europa Point were looking to bounce back from defeat on the opening day of the season in their second fixture against Lynx FC. Lynx opened the scoring through Omar Salah El-Din who finished off a fast counter attack from close range. The opponents doubled their lead in the 65th minute through a corner. Albert Holm punched the ball clear but it was headed back into the danger zone and EPFCs Sam Nicholson was unable to head the ball off the line.

Five minutes of added time was given and with a two goal deficit to make up the game looked lost. But in the 93rd minute captain Martin Falkeborn broke free on the left hand side and put a cross in for 16 year old Aleksay Bogostanwski who slotted home from 6 yards out. With time against them the boys pushed for an equaliser. Aleksay nearly got in again with thirty seconds to go but was tackled in the box winning the team a corner. With the last chance of the game Tyler Garratt whipped the ball into the box and Adam Gracia netted the equaliser with a towering header at the front post.

Great team spirit shown by the lads to get back into the game and they will be looking to carry that spirit over the international break to get to winning ways in the derby against Europa.

Defeat on the opening day of the season.

Europa Point FC played their first game of the GFL season on Saturday where they suffered a heavy defeat to Glacis United FC. A hattrick for Queni Cardoso and a 4th from Joshua Samuels sealed the win for Glacis in a dissapointing opening day for the boys in blue.

With injured players returning and a week of rigurous training coming up the team are looking to bounce back in two weeks time when they play Lynx FC.

Victory on the final day to secure 4th!!

EPFC were victorious on the final day of the season to secure an all time highest finish of 4th place in the Gibraltar Premier League!!

The boys got off to a flying start against Manchester taking the lead with less than a minute gone on the clock. EPFC captain Martin Falkeborn went on a mazy run into the box playing a 1-2 off of Mark Chichon then pulling it accross the six yard box, where Tyler Garrat was waiting to finish into an empty net.

30 minutes in Europa Point added a second through Kelvin Morgan who placed the ball delicately through a crowd of players after Falkeborns shot rebounded to him in the box.

Manchester got a goal back before halftime through a Salam penalty but EPFC kicked on in the second half and restored their 2 goal lead through Mark Chichons strike from the edge of the 18 yard area.

A great performance from the boys and a 4th place finish secured!!

Mons Calpe 1-2 Europa Point FC

Big win against Mons Calpe in the race for 4th

EPFC played Mons Calpe on Saturday in an important game in the fight for 4th place in the table. It was a back and forth start and Mons Calpe had a great chance with a one on one in the 12th minute that was stopped brilliantly by Johannes Strom. Mons Calpe then received a red card 37 minutes in after a high challenge from Alejandro Satriano caught Hugo Jesslen in the midsection.

In the second half EPFC took advantage of the extra man with Hugo Jesslen scoring in the 63rd minute. Kelvin Morgan did very well to pull the ball back to the penalty spot where Hugo was waiting to fire it into the roof of the net with his right foot. A few minutes later Mark Chichon had a curling effort saved brilliantly by ex Europa Point player Daniel Tudela. Mark picked the ball up on the left wing, cut inside and hit a great strike that was heading straight for the top right corner, but it was somehow kept out by Mons Calpes number 1. Tudela made another key stop from the resulting corner to keep Mons in the game. A few minutes later Jaro Vinet capitalised on a mistake from Strom to level the game at 1-1.

With 10 minutes to go Johan Andersson won posession on the halfway line and took matters into his own hands going on a mazy run through 4 or 5 Mons Calpe defenders and finishing brilliantly to make it 2-1. What a goal!!
The boys saw the game out keeping posession and defending well to secure all three points and move one step closer to securing 4th place.

Lincoln Red Imps 4-0 Europa Point FC

Defeat against title contenders Lincoln

Another tough day at the office when the boys faced title challengers Lincoln on Saturday. Lincoln took the lead 13 minutes in when a deflected shot from outside the box fell kindly for Pena in the six yard area. Lincoln were kept to half chances for the rest of the first half and went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

20 minutes into the second half Lincoln doubled their lead when Roy Chipolina scored directly from a free kick on the edge of the 18 yard box. They then secured all three points with two headed goals in quick succession in the 75th and 78th minute, the first from a corner and the second from a deep cross being played back into the area.

Next up is two big games against Mons Calpe and Manchester 62 to decide 4th place.

Europa Point FC 0-3 St Joseph's

Defeat for Europa Point FC in the championship group.

EPFC were back in action for a mid-week tie on Wednesday night where they faced title challengers St Joseph's FC. The opponents took the lead 7 minutes in when a cross from the left hand side was headed home by Lucas Gaucho. Just 2 minutes later an unfortunate own goal doubled the away sides lead leaving EPFC with a long way to get back into the game. Despite being behind EPFC began to grow into the game over the next 20 minutes before Alvaro Vasquez went down in Europa Points box winning a penalty for the opposition. Despite diving the right way Ondrej was unable to keep the penalty out and St Joseph's took a commanding 3-0 lead 30 minutes into the tie.

There were no more goals for the remainder of the game so St Josephs took home all three points and moved up to 1st place in the table. EPFC still hold onto 4th with Manchester 62 and Mons Calpe still to play.

The boys face Lincoln this Saturday before the all important ties against Mons Calpe and Manchester 62 to decide who secures 4th place.

Back to back draws with Brunos

The boys faced Brunos for the second time in a row as the first round fixture in the Championship group. After a 2-2 draw last time out, the sides couldn't be seperated once again with neither team finding a breakthrough in the game.

Both teams were defensively strong so chances were at a premium on Friday night. The draw means that Brunos qualify for the Europa Conference league in 3rd and Europa Point move up to 4th place. EPFC have already made history by qualifying for the Championship group but will be looking to secure the best possible finish of 4th by the end of the season.

QUALIFIED FOR TOP 6!!!

The boys put a brilliant performance in against 3rd place Brunos on Friday night. Needing a draw to guarantee top 6 EPFC fell a goal behind 35 minutes in, to a Brunos counter attack. After winning the ball back in the middle of the pitch the ball fell to Brunos central midfielder and he played a long ball over to top to Facundo Alvarez who took a touch into the 18 yard box and finished brilliantly from a tight angle. Three minutes later Hugo Jesslen showed why he's the leagues top goalscorer when Thomas Drage played him through on the edge of the box and he shrugged off the challenge of the centre back and beat the keeper with his left foot to bring EPFC level. The game went back and forth for the rest of the half with both teams creating chances but neither taking the lead.

Five minutes into the second half Brunos went ahead through a corner after an outswinger to the front post was flicked on and Pibe was waiting in the six yard box to tap it in. Needing at least another goal to guarantee qualification for top 6, EPFC put pressure on Brunos for the rest of the half creating chances but not converting. That was until Martin Falkenborn won a free kick near the halfway line in the 88th Minute. Thomas Drage floated the ball into the box and Johan Andersson showed his desire to beat everone to the ball and flick it past the Brunos keeper with his right foot. 2-2! Top 6 just minutes away the boys held out for the draw and made history for the club! What a feeling!

Defeat in the hunt for top 6

Europa Point were defeated in a closely contested game against top 6 competion Lynx FC on Sunday. It was hard fought contest that remained goalless until the 88th minute when Lynx FC scored directly from a corner. Lynx created the better chances in the match but EPFC defended well before conceding the freak goal. Europa Point remain in 4th place in the table on goal difference and a win in the final game against Brunos would guarantee a top 6 finish.

Defeat against the league leaders

The boys suffered defeat against league leaders St Josephs on Saturday. It was a close opening 25 minutes with neither team creating any clearcut chances unit St Josphes broke the deadlock through a Jayce Olivero header. Things got worse for EPFC after Adam Achoud received a red card for a second bookable offence 32 minutes into the game. In the second half Europa Point went down to 9 men when kelvin Morgan received a harsh second yellow card and the boys had to dig deep for the rest of the game. Despite a brave performance from the nine remaining players they could not find an equaliser and the game finished 1-0 to St Josephs.

Next up the boys face Lynx FC after the international break.

Back to back wins for Europa Point FC as they comfortbaly beat College and move closer to qualifying for the top 6.

Hugo Jesslen opened the scoring for the blues converting a penalty after Johan Andersson was brought down in the box. Filip Tronet made it 2-0 shortly after with a delicate finish on the end of a Kegan Caull cross. The boys went into the break at 2-0 but made it three 5 minutes into the second half when Filip Tronet slotted home for the second time after rounding the keeper.

Late in the second half College were reduced to ten men when their captain received a second booking for swinging his arm and bringing down EPFCs number 12 Valatka. Europa Point got their 4th 4 minutes later when Hugo Jesslen joined Tronet on a brace after beating a man in the box and finding the bottom right hand corner.

Another win and another step to finishing in the top 6. �� ⚪ ��

Derby day win for Europa Point FC

Europa Point secured all three points in the derby on Sunday after a last gasp winner from Hugo Jesslen. It was a tightly contested game against Europa with neither team able to get a breakthrough until Hugo slotted home at the second time of asking in the 90th minute of the game. What a win and what a feeling getting the winner at the death.

Hard fought draw against Lions Gibraltar

The boys were back on the pitch on Sunday against Lions Gibraltar in a feisty game that saw neither team make a breakthrough. Europa Point had the bulk of possession through the first 20 minutes creating a few decent chances including a good shot from Mark Chichon that was saved by Lions keeper. The Lions number 1 also stopped a long-range effort from EPFCs top scorer Hugo Jesslen in the early stages. Europa Point continued to put pressure on Lions throughout the remainder of the 90 minutes but were unable to find a goal. A frustrating game for the boys in blue but they are looking on to next week's derby against Europa FC.

Europa point narrowly defeated by Lincoln

The boys faced off against the Champions of the rock on the weekend and suffered a narrow defeat. After a strong defensive performance in the first half, Lincoln red imps found the breakthrough after an unfortunate deflection off the post went in off an EPFC defender. One goal was enough for Lincoln to take all three points.

Europa Point FC 1-1 Mons Calpe FC

EPFC returned to the Gibraltar National League against Mons Calpe on Saturday after a midweek game in the Rock cup. Mons Calpe took the lead 17 minutes in, bundling the ball over the line after Johannes Strom saved the initial attempt. The game was back and forth for just under an hour before Johan Andersson headed home from a Thomas Drage corner to level the sides. On 86 minutes Europa Points Kelvin Morgan received a red card after arriving slightly late to a challenge. Then two minutes later Jeremy Perera was sent walking for Mons Calpe after a high foot collided with the head of Hugo Jesslen. Neither team could find a winner and the game finished level at 1-1.

The boys were back in action for the second half of the season last night against Manchester 62. Hugo Jesslen opened the scoring, finishing off a brilliant team move just before half time. Hugo later extended his goalscoring record this season after bringing the ball down beautifully and firing it in off the crossbar to make it 2-0. Hugo now sits top of the GIbraltar Football League goal scorers chart with 11 goals.

A great way to start the second half of the season as EPFC continue their fantastic form from before Christmas and now sit in 5th position with a game in hand on 4th place Manchester 62

Europa Point FC 2-0 Glacis United

The 1st team got back to winning ways on Friday after a convincing win over Glacis United in the Gibraltar Football League. Hugo Jesslen, the leagues joint top scorer, found the back of the net again 19 minutes in with a brilliant lob over the keeper from just inside the 18 yard box. The boys were comfortable for the rest of the half coming in 1-0 up at half time.

Johan Andersson scored the second for EPFC early in the second half winning the ball back near the half way line and driving brilliantly past 2 players before finding the bottom left corner from the edge of the box.

Glacis didnt cause too many problems for the blues defence who have now only conceded two goals in the last 6 games and the team sits second in the form table with only one loss in their last 5 game. A great early Christmas present for the EPFC family.

Brunos Magpies 1-0 Europa Point

Our first team returned to the pitch on Saturday where they suffered their first loss in 5 games in a tightly contested match with Brunos. It was a good defensive performance again and was only the fourth goal the club has conceded in their last six games. Despite having a few good chances EPFC couldn't find a reply in a very even contest.

The boys are looking on to the final game of 2023 against Glacis where they will try to get back to winning ways

The boys secured a hard fought 1-1 draw against Lynx on Sunday night fighting back after going 1 goal down. Flynn Gillsepie scored for the opponents 16 minutes in with a chip over the keeper. In the second half Martin Falkeborn won a penalty that was converted by Hugo Jesslen levelling the contest. Neither team were able to convert a winner and the game finished with the points shared
